About Kaiser Permanente's Climate Efforts

Greenhouse gas emissions are a known contributor to climate change and the rise of pollution and disease. As a health care organization, we understand that it’s our responsibility to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions even as we grow our services. Since 2008 we have reduced our greenhouse gas emissions 29% while growing our membership 36%. We will become carbon neutral in 2020.
